A maximum of four (4) dogs or cats or a combination of four of these animals are permitted per house. Douglas County Ordinance O-992-011.

It has been noted that a number of homeowners are not cleaning up the "calling cards" left by their canine friends. In regard to these "poop problems", this not only creates unsightly messes and odors, but also causes damage to sod and other potential health hazards.
Please help make Highlands Ranch a safe, attractive environment by cleaning up after you pet!Barking dogs can be another problem in HRCA neighborhoods. Please help avoid neighbor conflicts by being aware that your dog may be getting on your neighbors last nerve when he barks or howls for long periods.
